I pulled yet another Invasion target card for this mission, so had little choice other than to run it, even though it was only worth one VP again. I took the B-17 along for its bomb load capability, together with two escorting fighters, one P-51 and one S-199. The mission went well and the enemy bandits were successfully shot down, with the bomber doing most of the work, so that the target could be hit with enough bombs to wipe it out. I ended up with lots of stress again but the squadron as a whole benefitted from some downtime and is now in much better shape for the last sortie of the campaign. I also acquired a couple of extra SO's from the event cards, so I have enough to splash out for the final mission.
